Diane

Diane has been doing well, loving her retirement. She spends her time:

• Traveling with me when I’m headed to interesting places and when I’m in Southern California, where we check in on my folks in Long Beach.

• Managing my folk’s finances for the last couple of years – she’s a Quicken pro! She also works closely with Mom & Dad’s caregivers, case manager, doctors, car service, insurers, etc. each day.

• Managing home improvements and landscaping at our Conifer, CO abode — this year the landscape plants really took hold (see photo below).

• Spending time with family here in Colorado. Daughter Karin and her hubby Greg live 10 minutes away while son Andy and his bride Dana live 40 minutes away. Diane loves weekly trips “down the hill” into Denver with Karin, and hosting dinners with the kids and their spouses (and dogs) are a joy to us both. You ought to see what the six of us can put away in our favorite sushi restaurant.

• Enjoying Shady, the Wonder Dog, (photo below Diane’s pic) our 80 lbs. flat-coat retriever who turns five years old in December. Diane and Shady walk 45 minutes a day in the crisp, cool air of our mountain community (at 8500 feet above sea level).
